Employee Spotlight – Joe Yashuk, Head Golf Pro

Joe Yashuk loves golf. As the Head Golf Professional at Savannah Quarters®, Joe’s love of the game is fulfilled by helping club members take their game to the next level. It’s more than just working with someone on their swing. He says, “I love interacting with the members and getting to know them on a personal level.” Joe adds, “Each day is a dream. I wake up. I teach golf. I help run golf tournaments. I play a few holes. Overall, I am committed to doing whatever it takes for our golf members. If they’re happy, I’m happy.”
Joe is originally from St. Louis (yes, he’s a Cardinals fan). But as a teen his family moved to Orlando, Florida. Where others saw Disney World, Joe saw golf courses!
“I was so into golf that I attended the Golf Academy of America in Orlando and graduated with an associate’s degree in Golf Complex Operations,” says Joe. “I became a Class A Member of the PGA in January 2012.”
And that’s not all. Joe’s a USKIDS golf-certified coach, winner of the North Georgia Chapter tournament where he shot 6 under par, winner of the Pro-Pro at Legacy on Lanier where he shot -12 as a team and was a runner up in 2020 for Assistant of the Year for the Georgia PGA.
With Joe’s combination as a golf pro and his deep background in Golf Operations, Savannah Quarters is fortunate to be able to leverage Joe’s golf knowledge and expertise on and off the greens.
When Joe isn’t giving lessons or doing a million things to make our golf club run smoothly, Joe is most likely spending time with his lovely wife and two adorable daughters – Charley Rose and Harper Elizabeth.
