Savannah in February

February 4th, 2019

February is a good month to visit Savannah if you want to avoid the crowds of spring, with the city’s winter-flowering camellias serving as prelude to the more profuse blossomings of March and April. There is a chance of warmish weather, but it is best to plan for cooler days: average highs are in the 60s. More about Savannah’s February weather

Together with the other winter months, accommodation bargains can often be found in February, excepting the days around the 14th. Savannah is frequently voted one of the most romantic cities in the US, and is a popular Valentine’s Day destination.

February is also Black History Month, and an ideal time to explore Savannah’s African-American heritage attractions, such as the Pin Point Heritage Museum, Ralph Mark Gilbert Civil Rights Museum, or historic First African Baptist Church; or, to take an African-American history tourof the city.
