POOLER, GA. (PRWEB) MAY 7, 2018
Savannah Quarters® welcomed local friends and families to Spring Fest, on Saturday, April 21. Demonstrating its reputation as one of Savannah’s friendliest communities, made sure there would be something for everyone: bouncy houses, balloon art and face painting for kids, a putting challenge for adults, and games for children and grownups alike. Better yet, the event helped net nearly $6,000 for The Whitefield Center.
“Magic Marc” Dunston delighted everyone with interactive, slight-of-hand tricks featuring Bella, a large white cockatoo. Afterwards, Lulu The Giant, a jazz trio, entertained for a generous two hours. While savoring the gorgeous day, attendees could also enjoy beer and wine, and delicious local fare from food trucks such as Big Bon Pizza, Skeeter’s Southern BBQ, and Savannah Square Pops.
And it was great to know that all the fun, including the putting contest, raised a needed $5,800 for The Whitefield Center. The center, a community-based initiative of The Whitefield Foundation, serves Savannah’s inner city by promoting education and workforce development within the Thomas Square area.
